Troubleshooting

Short answers first; most of these take under a minute.

You’re only asked to sign in again if you signed out everywhere (from More → Account, or from the web), or if your device cleared the app’s data. Sign in with the same method you used before and everything is exactly where you left it.

That’s on purpose: with two-step verification on, the app asks for a code when you reopen it after it’s been fully closed (swiped away). Switching between apps doesn’t count — only a full close. Codes are short-lived, so use the newest one from your authenticator app or inbox.

The number updates the moment anything changes and refreshes every morning. If the phone and the web ever disagree, close and reopen the app — it reloads from the same source the web uses. If a bill’s turn passed, that’s the usual reason a number changes.

Typed or pasted addresses open in Safari; tapped links from Mail or Messages open the app. Both reach the same account. See Invites and links.

Your Amppfy account was created with another method (Google, or email and password). Sign in that way instead — the account is the same one, and you can keep using it on both devices.

Amount fields bring up the decimal keypad automatically, with the point right there. If you see the plain number pad instead, close and reopen the app.

Amppfy follows your iPhone’s Text Size setting. Adjust it in Settings → Display & Brightness → Text Size and the app follows along.

On iPhone, backup codes open in the share sheet so you can save them to Notes, Files, or a password manager. Anything you save there is yours — Amppfy doesn’t keep a copy.

More → Account has the same delete option as the web, with the same 14-day window in case you change your mind. See Delete your account.

Search the docs from the top of any page, or start from the FAQ — most questions about the number itself are answered in Your Safe-to-Spend™ number.
